Storing and handling of magnets

Magnets, especially the stronger variations, have an attractive force that can actually be harmful when it snaps together.  This can cause injury and also damage the magnets themselves, so do be very cautious. Kids should always be supervised with the stronger versions.
Store in plastic sleeves or containers to prevent metallic residue build-up.
Magnets are harmful to electronic storage media such as hard drives disks, credit cards, computer monitors, pacemakers, etc. Please keep them at a safe distance away.
Magnets should be stored in attracting positions, for obvious reasons. They can also become demagnetised. Alnico magnets should have “keepers”, (iron or magnetic steel plates) that connect their poles.
